Alexa Ray Joel talked to People magazine about her new nose job, saying she felt “really good” about the new schnoz.

But Star magazine said that’s just half of the story.

The celebrity tabloid is reporting that mom Christie Brinkley went in for a “mini face lift” at the same hospital within 24 hours of her daughter’s operation.

Joel said of her own surgery that  “I was self-conscious of pictures taken from the side. To some people that’s vain, but at the end of the day, we all want to feel pretty.”

"I was thinking about getting this for years," says the 24-year-old. "[My nose] always bothered me a little bit. I was self-conscious of pictures taken from the side. To some people that's vain, but at the end of the day, we all want to feel pretty."

It seems like life and culture run in cycles with what’s old becoming new again.

Back in 2005, at the height of the plastic surgery boom, a common occurrence was for couples – husbands and wives, parents and siblings, boy-and-girl friends, gal pals and others – to go under the knife together.

That’s exactly what supermodel Christie Brinkley and her singer-songwriter daughter Alexa Ray Joel did recently.

"I was thinking about getting this for years," said Alexa, 24. She said her nose "always bothered me a little bit. I was self-conscious of pictures taken from the side. To some people that's vain, but at the end of the day, we all want to feel pretty."

Alexa said that she's done with plastic surgery and would never mess with her body like Heidi Montag did. She added that she waited to get the procedure until she was in a better place than she was in December when she overdosed on pills in an attempt to harm herself.

"Would it have been smart to get this procedure last year?" she said. "No. I didn't know who I was." But now, "I feel really good."

Singer/songwriter Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley, wants to set the record straight on rumors she may have had work done.

In a Facebook post, Joel addresses recent stories on TMZ and Daily Mail, suggesting she underwent breast enhancement. She wrote, “Aside from getting Rhinoplasty-Surgery a few years ago-- [which I have been blatantly honest and candid about in the past]-- I have not had any further work done. (Not on my face, or anywhere else- for that matter.) I fervently believe that it should be every woman's imperative to love, accept, embrace, and celebrate their exterior BUT: the act putting your ‘best self’ forward in every sense of the word involves work that's rooted from within.”

Alexa continued, “Multiple Plastic Surgeries is NOT something that I support, endorse, encourage, or even remotely participate in. Let’s have a look first at his wife. Cynthia Rodriguez, or C-Rod as she is more popularly known these days is divorcing her husband, baseball player Alexander Rodriguez (A-Rod) for his extramarital affairs. A-Rod has also had widely reported relationship with Madonna, although it said to be non-sexual. So what do C-Rod and Madonna have in common, despite their significant age difference? C-Rod is a 34-year old mother of two. She also has a bodybuilder’s body, with strong muscles. It is no wonder that she met her soon to be ex-husband in a gym, where they were both working out. In a photo shoot for a magazine, Cynthia showed off her rock hard body, completely with what look like very obvious breast implants.

When women build up large amounts of muscle, the fatty tissue in their breasts nearly all but disappears, so many women opt to get a breast augmentation to help give their appearance more femininity. This seems to be what C-Rod decided to do as well. Her breasts look stuck on and are very far apart from each other. Although her arms are raised, they are still very high on her chest. They have all the aesthetics of breast implants.

Plastic surgeon John Di Saia says, “I figure she’s likely had breast implants.”

In the future, C-Rod will likely have more plastic surgery to maintain her appearance, like her rumored rival, Madonna.

While Alex Rodriguez continues his battle with allegations of further performance enhancing drug accusations, it is interesting to reflect on measures that he has taken in the past that are, in fact, both cutting-edge and legal, and that have enhanced his career.

In 2009, Rodriguez used five platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments to accelerate healing and recovery following hip surgery that left him in pain. His trainers were amazed to see how much faster A-Rod was able to get back into playing baseball. This is remarkable considering that hip injuries often spell the end of a baseball player’s career, since at every swing of the bat is a huge stress on the hips. He joins a list of prominent athletes, including Kobe Bryant and Tiger Woods, who have claimed benefits from the use of PRP.

According to an article in the NY Times back in 2009, it was noted that hip injuries were on the rise in MLB. “No studies have been published to confirm this phenomenon. But many trainers and orthopedists say the anecdotal evidence is jarring.” Medical staffs for Major League Baseball teams and franchises in other sports constantly deal with hip problems with their athletes. In addition to Rodriguez, those with a history of hip injuries include Chase Utley of the Phillies and Carlos Delgado of the Mets.

PRP therapy may seem relatively new for athletes and sports medicine, but it has actually been used since the mid-1990’s in dental and oral surgery and in plastic surgery to aid in soft tissue recovery.

Alec Baldwin wants cosmetic surgery. The 51-year-old star is considering going under the knife because he is unhappy with the effect the aging process is having on his looks.
“I’m not saying I wouldn’t do something! I intend to do something. I probably will.
“Let’s put it this way, I wouldn’t rule it out because… You don’t think I wake up every day and wish I looked like this and this and this? But I can’t let that bother me.”

But Alec Baldwin – who had a butt double for his new movie ‘It’s Complicated’ – is happy with some parts of his body.

Alec – who split from his actress wife of eight years Kim Basinger in 2001 – admitted he regrets the end of his marriage. The actor – who plays a man who rekindles his relationship with his former wife in ‘It’s Complicated’ – told Entertainment Weekly magazine:

It has been over 35 years since Al Pacino played young Michael Corleone in the classic movie The Godfather and with the film “88:88 Minutes” coming out next weekend, the 58-year old legendary actor seems to have had plastic surgery in a bid to win back his lost youth.

Since sometime in the 1990’s, We believes Al Pacino has partaken in a series of subtle cosmetic surgeries, including a browlift (forehead lift), facelift, and potentially a blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), not to mention skin laser treatments and dermal injections such as Botox, Restylane, or Juvederm. This is evidenced by recent photos showing Pacino’s sunken eyes becoming more refreshed, less sagging around the lower lids, a rather unusually tight neck and jawline without any evidence of sagging that is typical of his age. Moreover, Pacino has a rather tight forehead free of horizontal creases, no nasolabial folds (those are the smile lines that emanate to the corner of the mouth to the edges of the nose) which are improved with a facelift, and his crow’s feet around his eyes appear to have improved over the last decade. The relatively wrinkle free forehead, mouth and eye areas suggest continuous use of injectables such as Botox, Restylane, and Juvederm, as well as the possibility that Pacino had a laser skin resurfacing procedure using some ablative or non-ablative laser. Finally, it is possible that Al Pacino had a rhinoplasty to lift up his tip as his nose tip appears to be narrower than before.

All of this adds to much more than 88:88 minutes of plastic surgery, but the results are relatively attractive and have not taken away from Pacino’s good looks and uniqueness.

Aja Rock’s Breasts – What’s Going On Here?

It appears to me to be a capsular contracture. Capsular contracture is the result of excess scar developing around a breast implant, making the breast appear hard and round. If severe, the scar tissue can develop a separation from the normal tissue of the breast, which is what I think may be happening here.

“Aja Rock appears to have a complication of breast implants called capsular contracture,” said Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn to NZ Reality TV. “This is the result of excess scar tissue developing around an implant, making it appear hard and firm. In addition, it can cause a separation to form between the actual breast tissue and the scar tissue. This is what appears to be happening here.” says Dr. Youn.

To fix her breast implants, Aja Rock will need to undergo a capsulectomy, a surgery that removes the excess scar tissue.

The criticism of plastic surgery as pandering to the vanity of people is unfair. The desire for self improvement is a natural impulse, and typically people who seek plastic surgery are simply unhappy about an aspect of their appearance. They feel sufficiently displeased to pursue a solution to make themselves more content. In some cases, plastic surgery even opens the door to greater self confidence.

Perhaps you want to ease back the inevitable effects of age, repair the sagging legacy of childbearing, or augment or reduce your breasts. Employing plastic surgery as a means to improve physical traits is essentially the same as getting braces to straighten your teeth. No one would call you vain if you wanted straighter teeth. However, plastic surgery is generally more drastic than teeth straightening, which is why you should carefully examine your feelings for wanting plastic surgery. 29-year old Aida Yespica, Miss Venezuela 2002 relaxed on a Miami beach in a teeny tiny bikini that could barely cover her assets. With such a thin frame, Makeupnice.com suspects that her currently very full bust is the result she has gotten after breast augmentation.

In addition to breast implants from makers Mentor or Natrelle, Aida may also have had a nose job, as her nose is perfectly straight and turns up just the right amount at the tip.

Many viewers wonder what plastic surgery Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Adrienne Maloof has had done. We were curious also, so we did a lot of research and found photos of Adrienne throughout the years, found out what work Adrienne has admitted to having done, and also read other plastic surgeon’s assessments.

Adrienne’s ex-husband and well-known plastic surgeon, Dr. Paul Nassif, has stated, “My wife, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, had Botox and facial fillers.” Other people seem to think that’s not ALL Adrienne has had done.

A well-known Miami plastic surgeon, Dr. Michael Salzhauer, adds, “Adrienne Maloof appears to have had multiple facial enhancements procedures such as Botox to her forehead, cheek enhancement most likely with a filler such as Sculptra, a browlift giving her that high brow arch and a Rhinoplasty giving her that subtle scoop to her nose.  Her cheeks appear a bit over-done but the rest looks pretty natural.”

Adrienne Maloof has been at war with her fellow ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ co-stars, and they are not holding back! Outspoken Brandi Glanville and normally reserved and polite Lisa Vanderpump have both come out in the media with full blown insults directed at Adrienne Maloof, and more specifically, her plastic surgeried face. Among other things, Brandi has called the quality of Adrienne’s plastic surgery “discounted rate” and after Adrienne insulted Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant Villa Blanca, Lisa mocked photos circulating of Adrienne before plastic surgery. Only in Hollywood do woman think it’s fair game to insult someone for having plastic surgery, when they too have gone under the plastic surgeons knife!

So just how much plastic surgery has Adrienne Maloof had, and is it really that bad? Adrienne has certainly had her fair share of plastic surgery but it really is nothing more or worse than any of the other housewives. Adrienne is 51-years old and like all of the other Real Housewives, uses her fair share of Botox and injectible fillers. She occasionally gets her lips plumped, but nothing too extreme, and she has breast implants. The two procedures that Adrienne has had, that stand out in a not so good way, are her nose job and what may have been a somewhat recent facelift.

Although Adrienne keeps pictures of herself before she had rhinoplasty surgery hidden away, her nose has obviously been worked on. Judging from the size and shape of it, we would guess that she had her first nose job in the 80′s or early 90′s, when plastic surgeons typically whittled noses down to these little pinched Barbie noses regardless of how such a nose would fit in with the patients other features. When comparing Adrienne’s nose after rhinoplasty to her brother’s noses, it’s quite obvious that she is no longer sporting the Maloof nose that she was born with.

Although getting a bad nose job is not exactly her fault, it is slightly ironic since Adrienne was married to celebrity plastic surgeon Paul Nassif, whos specialty is rhinoplasty surgery. Perhaps that is how they met?!

More recently, it looks like Adrienne has added to her plastic surgery profile and got a facelift too. Her face appears pulled and overly tight and her entire face looks swept upward. Adrienne’s eyes are more slanted and her brows are elevated as well, which are all telltale signs of a facelift.

Judging from the photo comparison of Adrienne Maloof throughout the years, she probably had a facelift in the last 1 – 2 years and we feel that she is at her plastic surgery tipping point. Will she be able to ween herself off of the plastic surgery now that she is no longer married to a plastic surgeon, or will being single and dating in her 50′s lead her down the path of more plastic surgery?

Just as sure as the sun will set, a day cannot go by without a nasty snipe for a Real Housewife. Lucky us, today we get a two for one. Both Lisa Vanderpump and Brandi Glanville have trained their sharpened class (yet again) at former friend Adrienne Maloof. As petty as these squabbles tend to be, there's usually an ounce of truth in them. Though this time, it seems like Lisa and Brandi are attacking Adrienne for something that's not really true.

It all started when TMZ approached Lisa asking if she knew about the new eatery Adrienne was opening. Apparently, the former BFF had been bad-mouthing the Vanderpumps' restaurant Villa Blanca. Lisa coolly quipped that she loved the before plastic surgery pictures of Adrienne in Star Magazine. It gave her a nice laugh. Ouch.

If that wasn't enough, Brandi lashed out too. Her feud with Adrienne and Paul Nassif reached epic proportions this season. Insults hurled, lawyers called, wives taking sides, etc. Well, according to Radaronline, on this Monday's episode, Brandi pokes fun at the fact that Adrienne has had more nip/tucks than all of them and cheap/discounted plastic surgery at that. So uncalled for.

While watching these women go at each other is extremely entertaining, I have to call bulls**t on this latest diss. I have taken a look at Adrienne's face -- before and after stardom. And I have to say, I don't see that much difference. In fact, I would say Lisa's changes are more dramatic. I think if you are going to call someone out on their bad plastic surgery, there should at least be real evidence of it. To Adrienne's credit, she's always looked plastic and waxy. I think Lisa and Brandi are running out of good material. And since Adrienne announced she won't be returning to the show next season, the ladies will have to find a new frenemy to obliterate.

Well anyway, the singer/actress, who originally made it big as a member of girl group 3LW and most recently has been gaining attention for dating Robert Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and Vinny from Jershey Shore seems to have fuller breasts than she did a few years back.

Looking back at her younger days, she always seemed to be fairly well endowed, but the fullness and roundness she’s shown in her cleavage recently make it seem an awful lot like she got a breast augmentation.
